Today I learned how dificult Abby’s Cafe is. We tried to have our first breakfast for the group there not knowing who will show up and they would not seat us until our entire party arrives. The snotty waitress said if you don’t like that you can leave so I did. We waited in the parking lot for 25 minutes incase anyone else shows up. It was Karen KN6MJS, Marcos KN6UNL, and myself KE6JGM. We ended up at Oryz’s Cafe. Much better service and breakfast was on me.

18 years of being the VE Laision. 126 test sessions and only 1 person complains 18 months later after her sesson. I now consider myself fired from Lee Deforest as their VE Liasion after hearing what Rick and Mary said. I will not be returning to that position in that club because I do not feel appreciated and Rick never apoligized to me yet. I’m now VE Laision for Diamond Valley Amateur Radio Group and I’m no longer recruiting membership for Lee Deforest at this point. The situtation makes me sick! It’s affecting my love life as well.

Coffee, Donuts, and Ham #2 the first one under DVARG, I was warned that it was going to be lightly attended. Karen KN6MJS, Charlie WK3Y, Marcos KN6UNL, and myself KE6JGM was in attendance. I had a door prize drawing in which all members of the DVARG where automaticly entered and everyone who was here was entered as well. Everyone here was a member so they were entered twice. The winner of the 2014 numbered ARRL Centennial Handbook was Greg KN6PKG. The winner of the first T-Shirt was Dave KJ6JFX. The winner of the second T-Shirt was Brookes KO6JVD. The T-Shirt winners have to wait until the patches are done. I called both Dave and Brookes and they haven’t returned my call.

San Bernardino Microwave Society 10 GHz and up contest. I used Gordon West WB6NOA’s Dish that he gave to the SBMS to make my first real 10 GHz contacts with Brian AF6NA in Homeland, CA. I made a total of 5 contacts.

The Ruby! Karen and I saw the 10 GHz model and were given a CW demo, we were very impressed.

May 16, 2026 VE Testing
This was the first test session for Diamond Valley Amateur Radio Group. We did it with help from Lee Deforest VEs. We had a total of 5 testers and all pasted but one. She will get it next time.
